This blog entry is on Switzerland & Czech Republic. Will continue with Germany blog entry tmr.
Yeah! I'm back from my 11-day holiday. =) Nope i didnt skip school. IT was reading week and thus no lessons. YEAH!!!
We left on my bday for Switzerland. Well... I can say I spent my bday at waiting for lessons to end and airplane to take off. We rushed to bus stop for a bus to Luton airport immediately after lesson. It looked rather dramatic because everyone's rushing for lesson while we 4 were dragging luggages and running towards the bus. Yes we dragged luggage, so weak right? HAHAHAHA.. maybe one day we should try backpacking.
My phone bill will just cost a bomb after calling a few friends to thank them for their wishes in the Luton airport. Boarded an easyJet plane and off we flew to Switzerland. Do you know i'm still having a slight foebia for planes? Im afraid the small planes will be blown off during turbulence, and im afraid the big planes cannot fly high enough due to heavy luggages. Ok i sound stupid, but yah i do have a little foebia till now.

We reached Zurich at 7pm and it was SNOWING lightly!!! Its my 1st time seeing it snowed. On my bday!!!! Too bad we couldn't capture them in the photos.

The double decker train.

Chocolates!!!
The next morning, it snowed again!!!!!

We went to Rhinefall on the next day. It's supposed to be the biggest waterfall in Europe, but im a little bit disappointed. Nonetheless, we had a fun time because it started to snow again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had picnic there. =)

We spent one whole day at rhinefall. Not sure why too, but just play and play. Saw a night market but they sell things at very high prices.
Off to Zermatt by train. I was sleeping halfway through on the train when Karen woke me up to see all these.

The 4 of us were snapping photos frantically all the way till it stopped at Zermatt. =) Too bad we dont have very good cmaeras if not the pictures will turn out even better.

We did a lot of stupid things over there. The weird thing is it seemed that we were the only tourists over there. The dinner provided by our accomodation was really nice!! As the sun set at 5pm, we had nth to do at night so we played a board game in the hostel. We were all looking for skiing on the next day. See.... me in the skiing outfit. We took a long time to wear this outfit. Look sporty? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa... Off to ski. We took a cable car up.

WAlking down the stairs with our boots. The board and the sticks are so heavy!!

Matterhorn!!!!!!!!! A ski coach took the same cable car as us. We chatted a little and he said he enjoying skiing so much he ski 100 days per year. Wow..

I was trying to grab the rope and ski up.

We were the only 4 idiots over there. As it was low tourist season, the beginner slope was closed. We went to the intermediate slope without knowing at first. Gd. KAren and i didnt know how to ski and we didnt dare to ski even at the first steep slope. We almost wanted to give up, but Farah and Angeline just pulled us along. Its really unbelievable that we were the only 4 who didnt know how to ski! Even young kids can ski so well. ITs really depressing haHAHHAHA.
Anyway... we were supposed to travel up to the slop by a rubber hook which serves as a gondola. All 4 of us fell from it at first. Really dumb hahah. When we were up at the higher slopes, Karen and i met the coach again! He taught us how to ski and then suddenly we couldn't control and off we fell down at the bottom of the slope. After that, Karen dared me to ski down at another steep slope. Crazy!!!! Its so STEEP!!!!! But I was even more crazy to take up the challenge and off we ski and fell. I fell so many times. Once i fell straight into a pile of snow. Dumb we may looked, but it was SO FUN!!!!!!!!!! Argh i want to come back to switzerland again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did i tell u it was -9 degree celcius up there? It wasn't really cold. Maybe because there was no wind at all. =) Fun Fun!!!!
The swiss are friendly people. For eg. the coach came to help us and teach us. When we fell, some good souls came to our rescue by lending a helping hand. While we walked on the streets, they thought we were Japanese and keep saying "konichiwa" to us. =)
Switzerland is a more expensive country than England. So much so that I find it really ridiculous at times. I shall stop complaining how expensive london food is. Somehow I have lost all my interests in shopping trips.
Kelvin told us that Hatfield was snowing on saturday. Qinyi says i probably didnt miss much since I was in Switzerland then. =) hahhaa...
I love Switzerland so much! I must to come back again. Promise!
The next day we headed to Prague by an overnight coach ride. We were still a bit tired when we reached at 7am but still couldn't check in. We slept at the lobby. So weird.

布拉格广场

We bought a CD produced by this orchestra.

Trying to enter Casino. Im old enough to enter!!!!!!!!!

My dinner!!! Very cheap!!!!!! Finally get to eat a good and cheap one. But dont get me wrong. Czech Republic is still a more expensive place than singapore if you take the currency exchange rate into account.
According to the Korean drama show and Jolin's song, there should be a wishing well in Prague. Not sure where it is. I only thought about it when we left the place. =(
I like Prague! =)
